Three Lady Matadors receive All-Region 1 honors

Three Arizona Western College volleyball players were recently honored with All-Region 1 recognition. Sophomore outside hitter Sevval Aslan and freshman libero Nanami Nobuhara were both named to the eight player All-Region 1 team. Aslan and Nobuhara also were named to the All-Region 1 first team. Sophomore middle blocker Esther Asiedu received All-Region 1 second team honors. A full list of this year's honorees is below.

The Lady Matadors finished the regular season 13-8 overall and 6-6 in ACCAC play. Arizona Western will open the Region 1 Semi-Finals as the #3 seed and travel to #2 seed Central Arizona on Monday. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
