Lady Matadors thumped at home, extend losing streak to three
YUMA, Ariz. - The Arizona Western Volleyball team lost to Central Arizona in four sets, (23-25, 22-25, 25-21, 18-25) extending their losing streak to three games in a row and falling into a tie for second place in ACCAC play. The Lady Matadors fall to 10-6 on the season and 4-4 in conference play. Central Arizona improves to 12-7 on the season and 3-3 in conference play. Central Arizona also extends their win streak to six matches. Sophomore Larrynn Alexis Joseph-Rodrigues led the Lady Matadors with 12 kills, Esther Asiedu pitched in with nine kills. Blanca Terminel had 11 digs to lead the Lady Matadors. Arizona Western will look to get back in the win column and back in sole possession of second place in the conference on Saturday afternoon when both teams meet again. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m. in "The House."
