CHANDLER, Ariz---Michelle Corley and Faith Silva each hit four three's but it was not enough as the Arizona Western Matadors (12-13 overall, 7-10 ACCAC) fell 65-56 Saturday afternoon to the Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes (13-11 overall, 9-8 ACCAC) for their fourth consecutive loss.
The three's accounted for all 12 points that Silva and Corley each scored and the Matadors combined to go 0-13 besides those two from the arc.
Despite falling behind early, the Matadors outscored the Coyotes in the second to tie the game at the half before a defensive struggle in the third quarter saw neither team put up double-digit points.
The Matadors grabbed just 15 rebounds while turning the ball over 18 times in the loss.
