Bio

Kourtney Celaya, a former NCAA Division I athlete and Yuma native, joined the Arizona Western College women’s soccer coaching staff as an Assistant Coach.

A graduate of Gila Ridge High School, Celaya began her collegiate career with the Matadors before signing with Cal State Bakersfield. She later transferred to Texas Southern University, where she played center back for two years while earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

In addition to her collegiate career, Celaya has competed at a high level in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) with the Arizona Royals and FC Tucson. She has also participated in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy with the Utah Royals and earned selection to both the Region IV Olympic Development Program (ODP) Regional Team and the Arizona ODP Team.
