Women's Basketball's Hardy named Chapman Automotive Athlete of the Week

YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Women's Basketball freshman Nyah Hardy was named the Chapman Automotive Athlete of the Week after leading the Matadors to a pair of wins over Community Christian last week.

Hardy averaged 13.5 points per game in the two Matadors' wins and recorded the first triple-double in Arizona Western Women's Basketball program history.

The guard from Houston, Texas started the week by scoring 12 points in the Matadors' 100-14 win over the Saints on 6-for-10 shooting. Hardy scored 13 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and had 14 assists to record a triple-double the next afternoon in a 91-26 win.
