YUMA, Ariz. - The Arizona Western College Lady Matadors women's basketball team will open the 2022-23 season ranked No. 17 in the NJCAA DI Women's Basketball Preseason rankings. 

After reaching the second round of the 2022 DI Women's Basketball Championship, the Lady Matadors will open the new season ranked 17th. The Lady Matadors return three players from last year's team including reigning ACCAC Player of the Year and NJCAA First-Team All-American Alliance Ndiba.

The Lady Matadors won 30 games, the third most wins in program history, going 30-3 and 18-2 in ACCAC play. 

Arizona Western opens the season on November 1 when they host Palo Verde College at 7:30 pm at the House Gymnasium.
