YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Lady Matadors' Women's Basketball player Kristol Ayson was named an NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American on Tuesday after leading the Lady Matadors in scoring as a sophomore.

Ayson finished the season averaging 15.4 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game while averaging 2.8 assists per contest in 30 games to lead the Lady Matadors to a 21-9 record in her sophomore season.

The guard from Tacoma, Wash., scored in double figures in all but one game and scored in double figures for 28 games straight. Ayson tied a career-high with 24 points against South Mountain on December 10^th and scored 20 or more points four times.

The guard set a season-high with 10 rebounds in a win over Dream City Christian on November 26 and matched that season-high two times.

Ayson started all but one game for Arizona Western and was named First Team All-ACCAC and All-Region I DI.
