YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Lady Matadors Women's Basketball sophomore Maddison Zugna was named ACCAC DI Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 5-12.

Zugna helped the Lady Matadors to a pair of wins last week, averaging 15.5 points per game and shooting 71 percent from the field. Zugna scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help the Lady Matadors beat Central Arizona 71-33 on Wednesday, February 8.

The Melbourne, Australia native scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds in a 63-28 win over Chandler-Gilbert o lead the Lady Matadors to their fifth consecutive win. Zugna finished the week with a season-high four blocks in the win over the Coyotes.
