YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors' Softball player GiGi Garcia was named ACCAC DI Softball Player of the Week for the week of February 26-March 4.

Garcia helped the Lady Matadors to a 3-1 record for the week, splitting a doubleheader with Pima before splitting a doubleheader with Glendale.

The freshman went 9-for-15 with a double and three home runs while scoring seven runs. Garcia belted a walk-off home run in a 6-4 win over Glendale on March 4.

The infielder from Marana, Ariz., has homered in three of the last four games and has picked up hits in 14 of the last 15.
