Gameday Preview: Conference showdown features a clash of styles

YUMA, Ariz. - The Arizona Western men's basketball team (11-5,1-0) look to stay undefeated in ACCAC play and also build on their hard fought win over Central Arizona to begin the 2026 portion of the schedule. The Matadors travel to Cochise College (10-7, 0-2) for a pivotal ACCAC matchup between two teams looking to steady their form. The Matadors just snapped a three-game losing skid, while Cochise has dropped four of its last five.

About Arizona Western

Arizona Western brings a more controlled, defense-first approach into the matchup. Over the last five games, the Matadors have averaged 74.2 points per game while allowing 76.6, leaning on discipline and pace control to keep opponents in check. Coming off a confidence-boosting victory that halted a three-game slide, AWC aims to build momentum and reinforce its standing at the top of the ACCAC.
