Matador's Matt Anglo named ACCAC "Player of the Week"

Division I – Men's Player of the Week

Matt Anglo – Arizona Western College
Anglo averaged 19.5 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists across two wins for Arizona Western. He scored 28 points on 8-for-14 shooting, adding 3 rebounds and 5 assists in a 101–98 win over New Mexico Military. He followed with 11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 1 block against Trinidad State College. For the week, Anglo shot 42.3% from the field, 28.6% from three, and a perfect 15-for-15 at the free-throw line.


Division II – Men's Player of the Week

McCade Peterson – Scottsdale Community College
Peterson led the Artichokes to a 2–0 week, totaling 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. He opened with 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting with 6 rebounds and 3 assists against Benedictine Mesa JV. He followed with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting, adding 3 rebounds and 1 assist in an 83–80 win over Mesa. For the week, he shot 59.1% from the field, 33.3% from three, and 71.4% from the free-throw line.

 

Division I – Women's Player of the Week

Lesline Penge – Cochise College
Penge delivered a dominant two-game stretch, averaging 16.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 8.5 blocks, and 2.5 steals for Cochise. She opened the week with 15 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocks, and a steal against South Plains College, shooting 6-of-16 from the field. Penge followed with a triple-double against Midland College, posting 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 blocks along with 4 steals on 6-of-13 shooting. For the week, she shot 41% from the field (12-29) and 64% at the line (9-14) while anchoring Cochise on both ends. This is Penge's second ACCAC DI Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor.


Division II – Women's Player of the Week

Kiley Sours-Miller – Pima Community College
Sours-Miller powered Pima to a 2–0 week, averaging 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.5 blocks on elite efficiency. She opened with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks against Phoenix College, shooting 10-of-14 from the field. She followed with 20 points, 8 rebounds,  and 3 assists on 10-of-15 shooting in a win over Park JV. For the week, she shot 69% from the field (20-29) and 60% from the line.
