YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Men's Basketball heads to Salt Lake City, Utah to play in the West District Championship Game against Salt Lake on Saturday, March 11, at 3:00 pm at Bruin Arena at Lifetime Activities Center.

The Matadors are playing for a West District championship for the first time since 2019 when they take on the No. 9 ranked Bruins for an automatic bid to the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Championship on Saturday afternoon.  

Arizona Western won its 21st Region I title with a 73-62 win over Cochise on Monday evening, winning its 10th consecutive game in the process. The Matadors will enter Saturday's contest with a 26-6 record, completing its second straight 20-win season.

Salt Lake posted a 28-4 record with a 14-4 mark in Region 18 play and is coming off a 76-71 win over Snow College in the Region 18 title game. Salt Lake finished second in the regular season standings in the Scenic West Athletic Conference behind Southern Idaho.

Saturday's game will be streamed pay-per-view on the Scenic West Network for $10.00.
