YUMA, Ariz. – After leading the ACCAC in defensive rebounds and finishing in the top five in blocks, Arizona Western Men's Basketball sophomore Yaxel Lendeborg was named the ACCAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Lendeborg played in 30 games in the regular season and finished the season with 229 defensive rebounds which led the conference by 27 rebounds. The forward also finished fourth in the conference in blocks, blocking 46 shots.

The Pennsauken, N.J., native recorded 47 steals which was the 12^th most in the conference, recording a season-high five steals twice this season.

Lendeborg set a season-high with six shots in the Matadors' last game, a 101-99 overtime win over Glendale on Tuesday, February 28.
