The Matadors connected on 11 three-pointers with six of them coming from Butts as the Matadors won their fifth consecutive game and second at the Coyote Classic. Four Matadors scored in double-figures as Marquis Hargrove finished as the team's second-leading scorer with 14 points.
Arizona Western held just a seven-point advantage going into the locker room at halftime, leading the Coyotes 32-25 before outscoring Southern Nevada 43-32 in the final 20 minutes.
Isaiah Amato finished with 12 points, hitting two three-pointers in three attempts while Yaxel Lendeborg added 10 points off the bench and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.
The Matadors wrap up the Coyote Classic on Saturday, taking on Western Wyoming at noon at the College of Southern Nevada Sports Center in North Las Vegas.
