    COOLIDGE, Ariz. – A thrilling game three capped the Region I Final on Saturday afternoon in Coolidge. Arizona Western squeezed past Central Arizona 7-6 to take the series 2-1 and claim its first Region I Championship since 1996.

    COOLIDGE, Ariz. – A showdown between Arizona Western’s Eric Ligda and Central Arizona’s Ryley Widell was cut short due to darkness earlier in the year. The two squared off again in game two of the Region I Finals, and they were masterful on the mound.

    COOLIDGE, Ariz. – The Arizona Western baseball team stayed hot on Thursday afternoon at Central Arizona College. After two straight comeback wins gave the team a spot in the Region I Finals, the Mats took the lead and never looked back in an 8-2 win to go up 1-0 in the best-of-three series.

    DOUGLAS, Ariz. – The Arizona Western baseball team has lived on comebacks all season long. How fitting then that the team overcame a 2-1 deficit in the third game to win 8-2 and clinch a slot in the Region I Finals for the first time since 1996.

    Come From Behind

    DOUGLAS, Ariz. – Do or die, win or go home. The Arizona Western baseball team rallied past #16 Cochise to win 4-2 in game two of the Region I Semifinals and even the series. With the score locked at two in the ninth inning and a runner on second, Franky Chavez stepped up and delivered.
