    YUMA, AZ – The Arizona Western College Lady Matador basketball team overcame a slow start to run past South Mountain Community College on Tuesday night. The Lady Mats used a 15-1 run at the end of the first quarter and strong defense in the second quarter to help secure a 66-50 win in Yuma.

    YUMA, AZ – Forty-four points combined between the second and fourth quarters put the Arizona Western College Lady Matadors over the top on Saturday night against Glendale Community College. The team knocked down nine three’s in the two quarters and topped the Lady Gauchos 69-58 in Yuma.

    SCOTTSDALE, AZ – A great start put the Arizona Western College Lady Matadors in the driver’s seat, and the team led wire-to-wire at Scottsdale Community College on Wednesday night. Arizona Western shot 49% from the floor and hit 10 three’s to win going away, 71-42.

    Tough It Out

    YUMA, AZ – Trailing sixth-ranked Pima Community College Aztecs in the fourth quarter, a pair of sophomores helped the Arizona Western College Lady Matadors storm back and win.

    Technical Knockout

    THATCHER, AZ – A technical foul in the third quarter turned the tide and the Arizona Western College Lady Matadors couldn’t recover. The Lady Mats were up two at the time, but Eastern Arizona College took the lead and didn’t let go. Arizona Western fell 67-56 in Thatcher on Wednesday night.
